I'm Back...again

izzy!!!!
I haven't posted in a long time. I recently discovered a program called Adobe After Effects, and I love it! It's amazing how many amazing effects I can create. What I would like to do is put something together for the Lightsaber Choreography Competition. What I need first is a full version of after effects (rotoscoping takes a while), a stunt lightsaber (which will be pretty easy to build), and a second person to fight. If I don't find someone to fight, I could (in theory) fight a clone of myself. It's not the cloning that's hard, it's synchronizing the two together. Anywho, once I have an income I can buy the parts i need for the sabers, and I could probably get the blades from my dad. Hopefully, this'll all come together as planned. also, check out my youtube channel with my first lightsaber effects tests here: http://www.youtube.com/user/TerryGilliam5
i will also try to embed some of my effects vids

Hey! It has been a LONG time since I last posted. Since then, the most wonderful thing has happened! We finally got high-speed internet from Comcast! I am so pleased with the speed! You can gauge my happiness by the number of exclamation marks I use!!!! Okay, I'm finished.

Yesterday, we went out to this really cool used instrument store, and bought me a keybard cheap. It's a Yamaha, it's really nice, and it was only 30 bucks! I love it. I'm learning to play some Coldplay songs. Once I learn all of Clocks, it'll be awesome.

I still have yet to try playing Star Wars Empire at War online, but I CAN!! :) Oh, how I love high-speed internet! anyway, not much else. See ya!

The Cube

izzy!!!!
Again, I post on a saturday. I have been cubing all week, and I'm getting really good. Today I timed myself at 2:03. Somewhere between last week and today I shaved off 3 minutes! I love the Rubik's Cube. Anyway, I started watching 30 Rock on Thursday. My english teacher and speech team coach Mr. Clark suggested that I do so, plus I get to watch Tina Fey for half an hour. Very nice. I love Tina Fey. But I shan't bore you with that. And I will never say shan't again, either. So we went to the coffee shop today to watch shows. Which reminds me! On Saturday February 14, 2009, I will finally have DSL internet in my house! Finally my parents broke down and bought Comcast. It's going to be wonderful. No more will we wait hours for download or videos. Mere seconds will separate us from our digital world. I will bask in its warm, glowing, warming glow. unless I go insane from trying to explain to my parents just how wireless works. Tomorrow I will do a system restore on this computer because it's pretty darn buggy. And then, one week later, we will have our high speed internet. Beautiful. That's pretty much all for now. I'll either post tomorrow or when we have high speed internet! See ya.

Will Post for Food

izzy!!!!
Today is Saturday, the beginning of the weekend. I love saturdays. I wake up late, stay up late, and then there's still one more day to sleep late. I don't know who invented the whole weekend system, but he (or she, I don't judge) was a genius. Now, on the topic of geniuses, let be known, let it ring out through the plains, over the highest peaks, and through the lowest valleys that on Saturday, January 31st 2009 I SOLVED MY RUBIK'S CUBE!!! It was the greatest feeling in the world. The puzzle is solved! Victory is mine! Mind you, I did use an online Rubik's cube solver. It is the best website for solving the cube no matter which type you have. The link will be to the left on my list of links. Just in case, here is the html: http://www.wrongway.org/cube/solve.html enjoy! Is there anything more beautiful than a solved Rubik's cube? ...no, seriously is there?
Anyway, today my sis and I went to the coffee shop as we have been all week. I love it there. Free internet, great hot cocoa, and an amazing drink called a kookie monster. Delicious! It has great service, and the people there are really nice. i like it better than Starbuck's because it's just a little place, but very nice, and I think it's more personal. I think you lose that when you go to a bigger chain store like Starbuck's. So that was pretty much our whole day. We came home, ate dinner, and then I scoured the internet for a site to help me solve the bane of my existence. And I DID IT!
This week I'm gonna practice Jon's Hitler interview essay with Mr. Clark for speech team. I really want to do that one. It is hilarious! I think I have a pretty good Hitler voice for it. And what does that say about me? Actually, they (my friends) used to call me the Man of 1000 Voices. Good times...
Well, that's pretty much all for now.

Es ist Dienstag

  • Jan. 27th, 2009 at 9:20 PM
izzy!!!!
Hello again, and for those of you who do not speak German, the title means it is tuesday. Although, with even the littlest thought process, you could have discerned that. There actually is a motive behind the German title, though. Today in German class, we went to the language lab to write (well...type) letters to Germany. The kid sitting next to me is such an idiot. Through the entire thing he's asking question after stupid question. He can't seem to figure out anything. You would think that a member of our generation would be able to figure out MICROSOFT WORD! Honestly, is it so hard to go Insert-Symbol? And it's not like the teacher didn't explain exactly how to do that, he went through exactly step-by-step what to do. The teacher was like: "Karl, do you ever wonder how people get things done in the world?" and he's like, "yeah" and the teacher says, "yeah, I thought you might." I'm like, "Dude, you just got pwnned by the teacher." I can't wait until that dousche is out of my life.

Anyway, I handed in another of Jon Stewart's stories entitled Adolf Hitler: The Larry King Interview to my english teacher. He took one look at the title and laughed. He said, "Now I just want to stop class and read this." I can't wait for the comedy unit. It's gonna be so awesome. I was thinking about performing the Adolf Hitler one for speech team. It's hilarious. I think there's a tie for funniest between that one and Gerald Ford: The Lost Tapes.

After school we went to the coffee house again. Tomorrow night is video game night. Of course this happens the same night I have to go to school for summer Drivers Ed. signup. Just my luck.
That's pretty much all for today. See ya!

Monday, Monday

izzy!!!!
Alright! Second consecutive post! I gotta start posting earlier in the day. As I am typing this, I am simultaneously trying to copy an essay from Jon Stewart's Naked Pictures of Famous People. Tons of fun. It's actually pretty cool. My english teacher asked us to bring in funny essays or stories so he can put together a lesson on comedy at the end of the year. He also wants to start a "funny club". That would be soooo awesome! He's also one of the coaches for the Speech Team. I'm on it, and I write and perform comedy at our tournaments. It's pretty cool. I may end up posting something I've written. Not a whole lot else for today. I really need to post earlier, my memory is fresher then. See you tomorrow!

Hey...

izzy!!!!
So, as it turns out, I'm not dead. It was a little hazy for a while, but I do, in fact, exist. My birthday is coming up again. I haven't posted since near my 14th birthday. For those of you who cannot do simple math, that makes me almost 16. I hope to get a nice keyboard(the piano kind, not the computer kind). It would be really nice to have a real keyboard. The one I have now would probably be classified as a toy. I got it for Christmas when I was...9? Mary: fact check that, please! I also wouldn't mind a new graphics card. I'm pretty happy that I finally get to wipe this computer. I'm gonna restore it to the way it was before we stopped updating Symantec. Oops! can finally do this because my sistah, Mary, reached her ultimate goal of infinite ecstaticity (it's a word, look it up!...in your gut.) which was to get a laptop. You can read about her infinite ecstaticity by clicking her on my friends page. Since she got it, we have been going to this coffee shop that has free wifi internet. Yes, we still have dial-up. To the other 99.9% of America: you may laugh, or take pity, now.......okay that's enough. Those of you who wish to make a donation to my cause, simply call 1-800-oops jewel. seriously, call. Well, this is probably my longest post so far. I seem to have gotten past that stage of constantly having nothing to say. It's getting late, so I will say goodbye for now. I will try to maintain my posting.

Hello again, everyone. We are here once again at the library. I've said I would play mario kart ds on wifi but i never have. so today, I will. Recently, I beat Lunar Knights for the first time. I like their style of replayability. I finished the first two chapters of the New Game+, and made it to the Vambery. Also called Epilogue Tower. It's pretty freakin' awesome. I got to floor 11, but I only played the tower for about 10 mins. anywho, not much else. I upgraded my AIM to version 6.0, and now live video finally works with my webcam. I can now chat with my friend, and see them! pretty fun. Um... that's pretty much it. Here are my friend codes: Mario Kart DS: 356554-848133. Digimon World DS: 446767236748. Add me!

Hello again, loyal geeks. It is I, your not so faithful updater. So, anywho Lunar Knights is still really fun. I'm at Dark Castle Auguste. I also got the rest of Lucian's weapons. The dark spear Jormungandr, and The dark scythe Hel. I also think I have all of Aaron's solar guns. Anywho, here we are at the library again. I love it here, and not for the books, either. It's because we have dial-up at our house which actually hasn't been too bad recently. Still, though the High-speed here is wonderful. This morning we watched some of our shows upstairs on MY computer. I still think it's so cool that that computer is in MY ROOM!!! Anywho, not much else. I haven't been sick lately, but my sister has. She has a sore throat and was off school all week. Now she's on antibiotics. the poor thing has to take Amoxicillin. But enough about her. The other great thing about the library's internet is I get a wifi connection. I ge to play mario kart with other humans!!!! That's all for now. Bye!

I'm going on soon as a matter of fact. anywho, that's pretty much all.
